RFID is a proven technology in a lab environment, but for real world applications it is in its infancy. The ability to read the RFID tag with a high degree of confidence is paramount. If you can’t read the tag, what good is the system? The system hardware configuration and components determine the level of the read performance.
If the hardware can’t detect a tag, don’t expect that any software will
An “off the shelf” generic approach may be a possible solution for your application but it may be limited in functionality and performance. The RF in RFID, LLC can offer their expertise in both system and antenna design to develop an optimal system with an embedded microprocessor for your requirements. We work with you in the selection of readers and can offer a custom RF and system solution. Our realm is with the RF hardware and embedded control devices which include the antennas, multiplexers and feed lines. All system components and reader are controlled by an inexpensive web-enabled embedded microprocessor module. We have proven experience (numerous products, patents and publications) with the design of antennas and also how they are located and orientated to obtain an optimal read performance. We have experience with esthetically pleasing and hidden antenna designs. In addition, we also understand that these components will eventually become a commodity and therefore design our components with cost as a prerequisite.
Our staff includes electrical, mechanical and manufacturing engineers that are well versed in component selection and manufacturing techniques which is vital in an affordable hardware solution. We have design experience that covers both the HF (13.56 MHz) and UHF (860 – 960 MHz) bands for both pallet and item level wireless applications. The RF in RFID, LLC have invested in state of the art RF equipment (network analyzer, power meter, spectrum analyzer etc.) in order to develop and verify test performance of the RFID system components.
The RF in RFID, LLC has developed multiplexed antenna technology. This technology offers an antenna configuration that is cost effective and easily reconfigurable. The end user can easily reconfigure their platform in the field, in order to account for different products or different product orientations. In addition this technology will guarantee 100% read performance for many item level tracking applications. This system can incorporate esthetically pleasing hidden, low profile antennas in a cost effective solution.
The RF in RFID, LLC offers RF hardware solutions for real world applications based on actual experience and not on hype. We pride ourselves on delivering a production ready solution with a short development cycle.
We understand the technology and deliver a complete solution
